About Us

WHAT WE DO!

We're volunteers committed to humanely controlling the feral cat population through trap, neuter/spay, and return.  We are willing to help those people who feed cats to do what it takes to trap the cats, get them transported to low cost spay & neuter services, get them rabies and other vaccinations, and return to their territory.  We do this to help cats everywhere by reducing the numbers without killing or euthanizing them.

Do you feed cats? Please let us help you fix kitties.

Educating and empowering caregivers enables PK TNR to provide more and better assistance with fixing feral, abandoned, or stray cats and getting the kittens and friendlies off the streets and into homes.

  • We loan traps (small refundable deposit) and provide information and support on how to succeed.
  • Only when physically needed, a rep of PKTNR will assume part of the process involved
    • to trap
    • to transport,
    • to partially pay spay/neuter fee,
    • after-care hold in climate-controlled area for 24hours
    • to return to caregiver or exact spot of their trap.
  • We do NOT take-in, remove, or relocate Feral cats, unless you provide verified location/owner to receive them, using the STICK method:  IE: Protectively confine in captivity (such as a room or building or wire dog crates) until fully acclimated to new surroundings, food source and feeders, before allowing them to free roam.

Feral Born Kittens

PKTNR will take in feral born kittens ONLY in the process of TNR'ing the parent.  Kittens young enough to be socialized will be offered for adoption.  Kittens who are not able to be socialized will be treated as adult feral cats.

We are undergoing this BRICK & MORTAR BUILDING project to better offer our community low-cost pet services, as the means for greater fundraising towards spay/neuter for cats & dogs, and to house and display Adoptables.
Too Many Cats!? DONT Kill Em!! Dont Get Rid of Em, JUST FIX EM!!
Why fix a cat that's not mine? BECAUSE when fed, 2 cats become 200 in too short a time.
Trap n Kill doesn't work, it stimulates breeding and ensures the ongoing killing.

Fixing Felines = less over all kittens

If you feed, they will come, if you dont fix, they will multiply.
Feeding without fixing it's like pouring fuel on an open FLAME!
Fix-no problem.

Only through donations can we continue to Trap, transport, arrange spay/Neuter, oversee recovery, administer vaccinations, see to the health of the kittens, and return for you to release or Rescue and find homes.  We can board at our adoption center once its open and running.

We do this to lower euthanasia rates in the feline population, and lift the value of every individual cat anywhere, to decrease the homeless cats suffering on the streets.

We are a non-profit, public, volunteer based, grass roots, transparent charity dedicated to lowering the numbers of outdoor cats by getting friendly or tame cats back home, and getting kittens off the streets and adopted, and all cats everywhere fixed!  We are composed strictly of volunteers (except mandated professional services) without any individual pay, for our labors of love are strictly for the cats.

Logistics

  • We strive to keep many traps on hand for your deployment. If you want us to perform the entire process for you, its at a price.
  • We teach people how to set-n-bait, and how to feed from out of the trap first to acclimate so trapping day is successful.
Not everybody can keep on eye on the trap as needed, however, we earnestly plead that you NEVER leave a set trap unattended for ANY amount of time over 30 minutes, or one of US will do the trapping for you.
  • We teach how and where to lay down a tarp, and to use a water-proof layer to protect your car's seats, (or after-care room,) as well to drape a sheet or blanket over the trap, to comfort the caged cat, and to catch cat spray away from your car.
  • Once out of surgery the kitties need at least 24 hours for the drugs to leave their system, in a climate controlled environment. If you are unable to provide transportation or after-care we may be able to assist. We would rather care-for the cat than have you release a third trimester hysterectomy after 24 hours in cold rain with disolvable sutures.
  • The spay and neuter facility is a separate entity from our organization with NO connection nor affiliation with us. It is their fee that must be paid as a service charge for the veterinarian surgery of spay or neuter. We are a trap, transport, after-care a release. If you are financially unable to do this, both the s/n facility as well as our organization MAYBE able to provide assistance or completely cover the expense.
  • When we don't have the room or resources to foster kittens, at least we can provide a wire dog crate with food, water, and litter containers so that even with children and dogs, YOU can socialize n foster, while we provide shots, flea/worming meds, and alteration surgery, and adoption networking.
